Fran was born in Flat Creek, Alabama on November 25, 1926. She was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and Burroughs Business College. She worked in the credit office of Blach’s Department Store for sixteen years. After the birth of her daughter she became a full time wife and mother. She was married to Paul Wood for forty seven years. She was a member of the Watie Burgin Chapter #74 of the Eastern Star for sixty years. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Wood Sides, and her son-in-law, Mark Edward Sides. The family will receive friends December 26, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Elmwood Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow.
