Mary Imogene Higdon, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24th, 2023. She was born March 26th, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Higdon. She is survived by her son Allan Hidgon, her daughter Anita Pierson (Jeff), her granddaughters Shekinah Coen (Curtis), and Britiany Perkins (Josh), and great granddaughter Emma Perkins.
She like butter beans and loved her family. She also loved doing word search puzzles and Alabama football, "Roll Tide".

A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211.
