Mary Elizabeth Jennings Wilson

Wilson, Mary Elizabeth Jennings, age 87 of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always proud of her family. Mary was a member of the Huffman United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and taught second grade Sunday school for many years. Mary enjoyed playing in the church’s Bell Choir. She had served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for her son’s scout pack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Belle and E.H. Jennings. She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 61 years, Horace O. Wilson; son, Tim Wilson (Cindy); two daughters, Jane Perry (Don) and Sue Crawford (Tommy); brother, Alfred T. Jennings; Eight grandchildren, Molly Rambo (Andy), Matt Mitchell (Elizabeth), Tim Wilson, Jr. (Jessica), Jay Wilson (Tiffany), Reagan Mitchell, Daniel Crawford, Philip Crawford, and Sarah Crawford; five great grandchildren, Will Rambo, Andrew Rambo, John Wilson, Ben Mitchell, and Clare Mitchell.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 24th at Huffman United Methodist Church at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Andy Rambo and Dr. Harris Hand will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorials please be made to Huffman United Methodist Church, 711 Gene Reed Road, Birmingham, AL 35235.
