Mary Eloise Anderson

Mary Eloise Shepherd Anderson, age 93, ended her earthly journey and went to her heavenly home on February 7, 2016. She was born in Rutledge, Georgia on August 2, 1922 to Thomas Esca Shepherd and Lora Ann Williams Shepherd. Her family later moved to Alabama. She was married to Thomas Edward Anderson for 62 years until his passing in 2010. She lived in the Glen Iris area in the same house for 65 years and was a member of Glen Iris Baptist Church for 63 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Esca and Lora Shepherd and her husband Thomas Edward Anderson. She is survived by her children Sandra Montalbano (Jerry), Tom Anderson, Jr. (Sara). Three grandsons: Kevin Turner, Mac (Dana) and Owen Anderson. Three: great-grandsons Mac, Andrew, and Levi Anderson and one Brother William Marvin Shepherd. The last two years of her life she lived at an assisted Dementia Alzheimer's facility Lakeview Estates and Meadowbrook Extended Care. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a. m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Glen Iris Baptist Church followed with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to Glen Iris Baptist Church and Glen Iris Baptist School. Mother may have lost her memories but we still have our memories.
