Marie Carr Hadley

HADLEY, MARIE CARR, age 94, passed away at her home in Birmingham on Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ila Carr; siblings, Louise, Robert and Max Carr; her husband of 65 years, Leo M. Hadley; and son-in-law, Walter Campbell. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Phillips (Roger) and Sharon Campbell; grandsons, Randall Phillips (Paige) and Brett Phillips; great-grandsons, Aaron and Bryson Phillips; and numerous other family members and friends. Mrs. Hadley retired from Dement-Mollison/Jim McGill/Chuck Hutton Chevrolet after 35 years. She also worked part time for Baptist Health System for 5 years. She loved to praise the Lord through song, and during her lifetime sang with her husband and friends in the Songster’s Quartet at many churches and homecomings. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Services of Alabama for their excellent care and comfort. Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 12-1 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel followed by graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 2 PM with Rev. Sam Browning, Jr. officiating.
