MARGIE “POLLY” MAYS, age 87 of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. She was born in Tuscaloosa as 1 of 9 children to B. A. and Nancy Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Mays; son, Michael Mays; and grandson, Christopher Mays. She is survived by her son, Jerry Mays (Kathie); brother, Alston “Jake” Crawford (Bonnie); sister, Frances Crow; grandchildren, Nathan Mays, Natalie Entrekin (Jaydon) and Amy Stenftenagel (Aaron); 3 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Polly was a hairdresser for over 30 years and enjoyed talking with her customers. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 10-11 AM followed by a graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
