She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert H. Walker; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her brother, Tillman (Tim) Carreker and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was born to Jean Fuller Carreker and Hubert Jordan Fuller, Sr. on October 9, 1929 in Brookside, Alabama.
Margaret graduated from Minor High School and Birmingham School of Business and worked at General Motors, and later with her husband in his chiropractic practice in Birmingham, AL. She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, reading, and writing poetry. Her sweet Southern charm shined with everyone she met.
Margaret was a member of the Riverchase Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and spent many years in volunteer service in her ministry.
Gratitude is expressed to her special caregivers, Nurse on Call nurses, and Affinity Hospice nurses and staff who provided for her excellent care.
Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
