Margaret Marie Burgett

Margaret Marie Burgett, age 93, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus Wednesday, June 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Burgett; parents Erskine and Grace Sherer; and brothers Raymond and Sonny Sherer.

Marie is survived by her sons Tony Burgett (Patsy) and Randy Burgett; daughter Connie Johnson (Ken); grandchildren Michelle Hale (Scott), John Barry (Shelli) and Ray Burgett (Pam); greatgrandchildren Matthew and Christian Pierce, Blakely and Jordan Barry, and Tyler and Dylan Burgett.

She graduated from Jasper High School in Walker County. She worked 23 years at Baptist Medical Center Princeton before retiring to care for her husband in his illness. Marie was a former member of First Baptist Church of Fairhope, First Baptist Palmerdale, and attended First Baptist Moody. She enjoyed her ministry as a puppeteer and a clown in Fairhope, Palmerdale, and Moody, Alabama.

Visitation and reception will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with the Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 Saturday, June 17, 2017. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery following the service.
