Linda was born on October 1, 1942, in Madison County, Alabama to the late John Ross and Mary Sue Roberts. She graduated from Albertville High School and attended Snead State Community College. She worked as a Judicial Assistant for Jefferson County Judge Donald Cruse, Scott Vowell, and Donald Blankenship. While working in the judicial system, she decided to serve as an Argo City Councilwoman.
She was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Trussville, Al.
She loved her "Little Church " and "Ladies Living Out Loud" Sunday School Class. She was involved in many ministries like VBS, The Dreamcenter, The Wellhouse, Hope Lodge, Save- A Life, and the Baptist Women. She received her Advanced Diploma in Biblical Studies and Biblical Studies Diploma of Distinction from Samford School of Divinity at age 78. She was a lover of Jesus, a loving mother, doting granny, loyal friend, and an encourager of all.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Don McCoy, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzi McDonald (Richard) of Trussville, Al. ; granddaughters, Bailee Elizabeth McDonald and Brooke Allen McDonald both of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Jim Roberts of Colorado; nieces and nephews, Barbara Webb (Doug), Derek, Zack, Bryan, Evan, Alexis, and Caden all of Colorado.
A visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ric Camp and Mark Enoch officiating. Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Michael Harden, Ronnie Walker, Drew Kelly, Tim Hill, Marlin Brooks, and Steve King.
