LAWRENCE PERRY, age 88 of Birmingham, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie B. Perry. He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Ann Hester, Lawrence A. Perry and Johnny Austin Perry; grandchildren, James Lee Hester, Heather Ann Guthrie and Lawrence Daniel Hester; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren. Lawrence was born and raised in West Blocton then moved to Birmingham and retired from Irondale Police Department after 29 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by all that knew him. His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5-7 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. His service will be at the chapel on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 beginning at 2:00. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
