Larry G. Sims, Sr. passed away peacefully February 21, 2018. He was a member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. Larry worked for PhotoCopy, Inc. in Birmingham for over 40 years. He was fondly known to family and friends in Sylacauga as “Bigshot.” He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Edward Sims and Dorothy "Dot" Rice Sims. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue T. Sims, brothers Gerald Wayne Sims and Thomas "Butch" Sims, son Larry G. Sims, Jr., step-children Pana J. Meanor and George K. Martin, grandchildren Cortland Sims, Jackson Sims, Dillon Harnage, Tamara Infante, Jenna Meanor and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, Sunday, February 25th, with services to follow at 2:00pm at Ridout’s Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama. Service by Pastor Gary Fisher.
