Larry Wayne DeArman- loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 28, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on December 4, 1946. Larry was always the life of the party. He loved entertaining his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always there to help anyone in need. Larry proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was retired from UAB Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odean DeArman and Edith DeArman; and sister, Barbara Lowery (James, deceased). He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Rose; brothers, Harry DeArman (Cherry, deceased) and Don DeArman (Denise); sisters, Adean DeArman and Colleen Glenn (Paul); brother in-law, Jackie Chiarella; L. C. Rape, a friend - brother of more than 70 years; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2024 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, 800 Dennison Ave. SW., Birmingham, Alabama 35211, from 10 am until 11 am; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am in the chapel, Father Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Larry will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love for his family, and his unwavering generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
