Larry L. Crane

CRANE, LARRY LEE ‘UNCLE LARRY’ (80) of Tarrant, AL went home on March 18, 2022. He is preceded in death by his son, Jade Alan Crane, his parents William Odis Crane and Nora Mae Crane and his sister Judy Crane Smith. He is survived by his brother Robert ‘Bob’ Crane (Cheryl), sisters Faye Crane Williams and Connie Crane Bailey (Phil) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews. He served our great nation in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway and was honorably discharged in 1965. His favorite pastimes were traveling, fishing, hunting and shagging with his friends on the dance floor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding the Polaris, checking the deer cameras and celebrating holidays and birthdays. Larry was born and raised in Tarrant and called Tarrant home for his 80 years. He was a machinist by trade and worked at Vulcan Metals and Apache Machinery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 28 at 10:00 at John Ridout’s - Trussville. Funeral service will be at 11 am at John Ridout’s Trussville with burial service following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
