Joy Sanders

Joy Moore Sanders passed Away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 28, 1929. She was preceded in death by her parents William Napoleon Moore and Elise Rodgers Moore, seven sisters and three brothers. Joy was also preceded in death in 2004 by her husband William Thomas Sanders, Sr. She is survived by two children, William Thomas Sanders, Jr. (Deborah) of Guntersville, AL and Sara Sanders Clark of Franklin, TN five grandchildren, Amanda Sanders Kilpatrick (Chad), Matthew Ryan Sanders (Brittney), Taylor Andrew Clark, William Cody Sanders, and Ali Grace Clark, great-grandchildren Clayton Alan Kilpatrick, William Davis Kilpatrick, Tyson Emory Clark, and a multitude of devoted family and friends.

Her life’s work was in the church teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Sanders was dedicated to the family business, Sanders Ace Hardware in Pinson.

Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.
