John M Miller, Jr., 75 of Trussville, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born December 23, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M Miller, Sr and Doris Allbritton Miller, his sister Virginia Miller Alexander, and his daughter Lyn Miller. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Carol Neely Miller, his daughter Neely Miller Franklin, his grandson Cody Lyn Franklin (Laura) and two beautiful great granddaughters that were the light of his life, Lacy and Emma.
He worked for over 45 years for Ross Neely Systems, Inc, a local Alabama trucking company, starting his career as a diesel mechanic and working his way up to Executive Vice President of Safety and Compliance at the time of his retirement in 2016. Since he retired, he enjoyed spending time with his wife Carol at their home retirement in Foley, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00pm in Elmwood Cemetery. There will not be a public visitation at the funeral home. The family request that all guest meet by 1:45pm at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel and we will all process down to the gravesite together. Pastor Chris Chambers will be officiating.
