John "Ron" Ronald Bailey

BAILEY, JOHN “RON” RONALD, age 84 of Pinson, was called home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Matthew Manasseh Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Junellen D. Bailey; son, Barry Glen Bailey (Christina); daughter, Misty Lyn Schrimsher (Daniel Wayne); and granddaughter, Natalie Elsa Bailey. Ron was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He lead a servant’s life both to our country in the Air National Guard and in his career helping children with the Methodist Children’s Home and over 30 years with The Department of Human Resources in Jefferson County. Ron graduated from Phillips High School and Birmingham Southern College. He was an active member of Pinson Methodist Church for over 40 years. His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1:30-2:00 at Pinson Methodist Church with his service beginning at 2:00. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinson Methodist Church, Pinson Public Library or the charity of your choice.
