Joe B. Cobb, age 99, of Moody, AL, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020. Mr. Cobb was a proud veteran of World War II. He retired from Jim Walter Resources. His wife of 60 years, Edna Cobb, and daughter, Linda Cobb Thompson predeceased him. Survivors include daughters, Joan Cobb Smith (Leroy) of Naples, FL and Cathy Cobb of Moody, AL., grandchildren , Tami Mistich (Leonard) of Alabaster, AL, Blake Thompson (Tammy) of Tampa, FL, Jeff Smith of Sherman Oaks, CA, great grandchildren Raegan and Cooper Thompson of Tampa, FL. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 22nd at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff of the Colonel Robert L. Howard Veterans Home in Pell City for the excellent care given to Mr. Cobb.
