Jeffrey Graham

Jeffrey Lloyd Graham, 68, died August 23, 2011. A Tuscaloosa native, Jeff served in the United States Army, ASA branch, and attended the University of Alabama. He worked at Guaranty Savings & Loan in Birmingham for ten years before moving to Southern Progress Corporation, retiring after thirty years. He was predeceased by his parents Melba Sims Graham and Henry C. Graham of Tuscaloosa. Jeff is survived by his wife of forty years Margaret "Maggie" Jones Graham, his brothers Andrew (Liz) and Mike, in-laws George "Buddy" Jones, Dot and Jim Anderson, and many nieces and nephews; and by his close friend and tireless supporter during his illness, Gene. An avid golfer, Jeff was webmaster for the Bratton Brothers Invitational Tournament and the THS class of '61 website. His quiet demeanor and engaging personality were enhanced by his keen wit and expansive vocabulary. Jeff's devotion to his wife and many friends was closely rivaled by fondness for his four cats, especially "Weezie". Memorials may be sent to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, 300 Snow Drive, Birmingham, Al 35209, The American Cancer Society, or your favorite charity. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
