Jean Cooper Daly

Jean Cooper Daly, age 87, of Pell City passed away on March 28, 2024. She was a native of Irondale, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Irondale for many years. She graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1954.

Jean worked as a secretary for several years until she retired to spend time with her granddaughters. She was a private person, but held close friends and family dear to her heart. She enjoyed reading and taking road trips with her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, George Nelson Daly and her parents, Peter and Mattie Cooper. Jean is survived by her daughter, Robin Roemen (Jim); two granddaughters, Daly Roemen and Emma Holmes (Daniel); her sister, Ruth Shaw and her brother, Sam Cooper; a host of extended family.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1st. A private visitation for family will be held prior to the service. The family would like to thank Carolyn Spann and Dana Keel for their excellent care of Jean over the past three years.
