Janet English McCrorie

Janet English McCrorie (Net) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1928 in Birmingham, AL to Jennie Brown and Philip Golden English. Net graduated from Ensley High School in 1946. She retired from The University of Alabama Health Services Foundation in 1990 as a supervisor of the accounting department for the Department of Medicine. Net was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She attended and was a member of Trinity UMC West Campus (Oakmont) where she was a member of United Methodist Women. While a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Hueytown she served as president of CPW, as well as an elder. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, James J. McCrorie Jr. and her brother, Philip Golden English Jr. She is survived by: her son, James P. McCrorie (Cindy) of Hoover, AL, daughter Jean Ellen Warren (James) of Madison, AL, grandson Derek M. McCrorie, granddaughters Meredith McCrorie Barnett (Heath) and Zandra J. Morgan (Jeffrey) as well as great grandchildren Michael Morgan, and Rebecca, Connor, Kaelyn and Sabrina Barnett. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and she will be missed.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. When it is safe to gather, there will be a celebration of her life.
