Jane H. Childers

Jane H. Childers, age 83, of Vestavia, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. Jane was born October 24, 1938. Born and raised in Trussville, AL, she moved to Birmingham and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1957. On March 19, 1960, she married the love of her life, John Childers. Our mother was an active member of Shades Valley Presbyterian Church. She had a love for serving and cared for everyone.

Jane is survived by her husband, John B. Childers; her daughters: Cindy Childers Jackson (John), Angel Childers Trant (Sid) and Hope Childers Roddam (Roy); her sister Judy Kelly (Jim); her seven grandchildren children: Allie Trant Vance (Kyle), Adam Trant, John Morgan Jackson (Christina), James Jackson, Jane Anne R. Gorham (Jody), Julia Roddam, and John Roddam; and her 6 great-grandchildren: George & Brigid Vance, Morgan & Molly Jackson, and Jay & Sam Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Judy and John Heath, and her sister, Margaret Strickland.

The Visitation will occur at Southminister Presbyterian Church Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 9:00am followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00am.
