TURLEY, JAMES THERON, age 73, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hozy and Eva Turley; brother, M.C. Turley; and son, Greg Turley. He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Mary Turley; sons, Mike Turley (Becky), Roger Turley (Lana), Rodney Turley (Paige) and Tim Hilley (Kelly); daughters, Marcia Doyle (Terry), Donna Calhoun (David), and Tami Mack (Lowell); brothers, Ocie Turley (Allene) and Bob Turley (Juanita); sisters, Lillian Leathers, Lethia Gunter, Jean Wilson (Roy) and Faye Ethridge; daughter-in-law, Jan Turley; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. James was born May 2, 1937 in Blount County, AL. His family will receive friends on Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. His service will be Monday, July 5, 2010 at Oneonta Second Baptist Church beginning at 2 PM where he will lie in state from 1-2 PM. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Royal, AL.
