James Patrick “Rick” Storey, age 63 of Mobile passed away Thursday March 31, 2016. Mr. Storey was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Rebecca Storey. He is survived by his wife Dara Storey; children Michael Melton (Lisa), Kathryn Stacey (Charlie), Kristi Meissner (Jay), Briane Johnson (Jeremy), and Jamie Storey; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother Greg Storey; and sister Lydia Peoples.
Mr. Storey was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard and retired after 30 years of service. He was the owner of Rick’s Lawn Care Service in Mobile. He dedicated his life to the military and to his family.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel in Birmingham. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Margaret, Alabama.
