With great sadness, Temple Emanu-El announces the passing of James (Jimmy) Rotenstreich
on November 27, 2024. Jimmy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Judy, just last month.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Jeff (Julie) Rotenstreich, Kenny (Amanda) Rotenstreich, Andy (Susan) Rotenstreich; grandchildren, Josh (Kelly) Rotenstreich, Matt (Dana) Rotenstreich; Alex Rotenstreich (Mason) Aronson, Abby (Josh) Lubel, Sam Rotenstreich, Annie Rotenstreich, Brandon Rosenstein,
Chase Morris, Jordan Rosenstein, Victoria Morris, Dylan Rosenstein,Matthew Rosenstein; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Chelsey Caroline, Hallie, James, Scotty, Graham and one great-grandson
will soon join the family. His siblings are Fern Seigel and Jon (Sue) Rotenstreich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a community that loved him and will miss him terribly.
A private graveside will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024
at 1:00 pm CST at Temple Emanu-El 2100 Highland Avenue South Birmingham, AL 35205 Oneg and condolences immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jimmy's memory may be made to the Judy & James Rotenstreich Fund of the Grafman Endowment Fund for Temple Emanu-El or a charity of your choice.
May Jimmy rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. May God comfort these mourners among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
