James Hughlon Hughes

James Hughlon Hughes, age 80, of McCalla, left this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Esther Mae Hughes. He was a member of Caffee Junction Church of God where he served many roles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Hughlon loved to work in the yard and ride his tractor. He had many occupations throughout his life including coal mining and carpentry.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Taylor Hughes, children, Sharon Hughes Burroughs, Madrina Hughes Cook and Marcus Hughes; grandchildren, Alexis Burroughs, Cameron Cook, and Adisyn Cook; brother, Olan (Edna) Hughes and 2 nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday May 26, 2018 from 12 – 2 PM at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
