He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Nettie Gray Allen; his sisters, Nadine Brasher and Lucille (SA) Manley; his brothers, William Allen (Demple), RC Allen (Willie), and James Allen.
He is survived by his sons, Mike Allen (Faye) of Clay, AL and John Allen (Leah) of Mt. Laurel, AL; his sister, Dorothy Green (William) of Hayden, AL; his brother, Howard Allen of Akron, AL; 6 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Horace will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 335 Mount Carmel Drive, West Blocton, AL 35184.
