Hobart Hundon Arnold, Jr. age 84, of Irondale, AL passed away on May 6, 2024. He was born in Birmingham, AL to Hobart and Oltre Arnold on October 10, 1939. He attended Gibson Elementary. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and Howard College (Samford). Hobart spent many years in the insurance field. He began as a claims adjuster, but spent the majority of his career in sales, underwriting and management for property and casualty lines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and other outdoor activities.
He spent many years golfing with friends whose friendships were forged on the course. Hobart had a lifelong love for music. He had many great memories singing with the “Warblers” at Woodlawn High School. He also enjoyed singing in the church choirs of the churches he attended.
Hobart was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Arnold DaDomo. He is survived by his loving wife Judy Grogan Arnold; his daughter, Kelly Arnold Pyron (Wade); his son, Hobart Hundon “Bart” Arnold, III (Allison); three grandchildren, Ella Elizabeth Pyron, Mary Stewart Pyron and Hundon Davis Arnold; his brother, Ricky Arnold; a sister-in-law, Deidre Arnold and a brother-in-law, Nino DaDomo.
A funeral service for Hobart will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Friday, May 10th at 2:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior to the service. A committal service will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial Garden’s Ten Commandments Mausoleum with Pastor Blake Dempsey officiating. Services in the care of Ridout’s Trussville Chapel.
