Harold Bob B Davis

Harold Bobby Gene “Bob” Davis, age 84, of Birmingham passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, former member of the Knights of Columbus and was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force and former member of the 117th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing of the Alabama Air National Guard. He was a Troop Committee member of Troop 56 of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Birmingham Amateur Radio Operators Club. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford M. and Nollie N. Davis and his sister, Eleanor D. Morgan. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy A. Davis; daughter, Paula J. Davis-Olwell (Patrick Olwell); sons: Clifford H. Davis (Lisa), James E. Davis (Valerie) and Joseph D. Davis; grandchildren: Rebecca A. Davis, Amelia L. Davis, Sophia M. Davis, Anna O. Roberts (Nate), Jordan E. Cornelius, Matthew J. Olwell (Emily K. Oleson) and Aaron P. Olwell; great grandchild, Lydia Jade Olwell; sisters: Helen Sparks (James) and Jane Abt . His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
