Greg was born on September 22, 1952, in Birmingham, to Fred and Hazel McCool. He was a member of the Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church. He previously worked at the church and considered it his second home.
Greg is survived by his brother, Freddy McCool and his wife Norma McCool of Birmingham; nephews, Denver, Dustin and Devin; and their families and children.
The memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Lewis Archer officiating. The family will be greeting and welcoming guests beginning at 12:00 p.m.
