Gloria Robinson Williams was born June 19, 1935 and on May 21, 2017 her Heavenly Father called her home. She was born in Birmingham, AL to Clarence and Lucile Robinson. She was a graduate of Phillips High School in 1953, and retired after years of service from State Farm Insurance. Gloria was a member of Columbiana Baptist Church, and former member of Valleydale Baptist Church. She was a loving wife to Charles Edwin Williams for 62 years, until her departure from this earth. During that time, they raised three beautiful daughters, Leiann (Tommy), Cheryl (Willie), and Cindy (Curtis). She was also a dedicated and loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Branon, Kimbrlei, Turner, Tyler and Will; as well as two great-grandchildren, Aubrei and Isaac. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucile Chandler Robinson, father, Clarence Robinson, and sister, Betty Worthington. Her homecoming celebration will be held at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel on Wednesday, May 24th beginning with visitation at 10:00am, service at 11:00am, and graveside to follow.
The family wishes to acknowledge all of the love and support they received from Affinity Hospice during the last several years of Gloria’s life, as well as the friends and family who made her transition into eternity full of love and peace.
