Glenn R. Wilkinson

Glenn Richard Wilkinson, age 76, of Oneonta, Alabama, passed away on Oct. 10, 2022. Glenn was born on Sept. 12, 1946 in Birmingham, Al. He moved to Perry, Iowa at age 8 where he graduated high school. Glenn joined the United States Navy at age 18 and served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. While serving, He served as a codebreaker and worked in the submarines while stationed in Egypt, Spain and England Navy Ports. After leaving the Navy, Glenn worked for the United States Postal Service and later worked for Drake University as a Computer Programmer.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Porter Glenn Jr. and Eleen Wilkinson, and brother, Ronald Lee Wilkinson.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Jocelyn Kovaleski; son, Dustin Wilkinson; 6 grandchildren, Sebastian, Madison, Ethan, Ayden, Natalie, and Riley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Glenn will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Lebanon Baptist Church, 169 New Lebanon Rd, Springville, AL 35146, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
