Glenda B Smith

GLENDA B. SMITH, age 74 of Pinson, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith; parents, Evelyn and Daniel Baker; grandmother, Artvie Whisenhunt; daughter-in-law, Debra Smith; brother, Gary Baker; sister, Linda Hollon; and granddaughter, Ashley Arnold. She is survived by her son, John Smith; daughter, Kathy Arnold; sister, Rita Shuey; grandchildren, Heather Arnold and Joann Schmitt; and nephew, Daniel Shuey. Glenda loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately called her Granna. She retired from AT&T after 37 years service. Glenda was a kind and generous soul who loved animals, flowers and cheering for Alabama football. Her favorite saying was “dynamite comes in small packages” and she embodied the term Crazy Cat Lady. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 1-2 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, Alley Cat Allies or The Alzheimer’s of AL.
