George Franklin Harris, 84, died on February 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Brenda Harris; children, Beth Heaton (Bill), and Pam Gay (Phillip); grandchildren, Zachary Butler (Emily), Erin Morrow (Derek), Abbi Gargus (Grant), Michael Gay (Whitney), Wesley Gay, Tommy Gay (Amy); great-grandchildren, Will Morrow, Linley Morrow, Zoey Butler, August Butler, Ashton Gay, Olivia Gay, Sydney Gay, and Sammy Gay; sister, Charlotte Baughn (Danny); and several nephews.
George was a retired credit manager. He was a member of the Baptist Church at McAdory.
A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in George's memory to either St. Jude or Children's Hospital Oncology.
