Fred W Mccool Jr.

Fred William McCool, Jr., age 89 of Bessemer passed away Monday, January 9, 2017. He was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, The Roy Gilbert Sunday School class and the Shepherd Center. Fred was a retired Plant Comptroller at Pullman Standard, Bessemer Plant. He was also a graduate of Bessemer High School and the University of Alabama. His wife Jean Langham McCool; his parents: F. W. McCool, Sr and Elezabeth Eltz McCool and his sisters: Mary Kathryn Vance, Sybil Ellis and Pauline Stallworth preceded him in death. Survivors include his step son, Larry (Roxie) Langham of Hoover; grandson Ed Aston (Dana) Langham of Hoover; great grandchildren triplets: Max, Madalyn and Tucker Langham; nieces: Betty (Ed) Hooten of Foley, Lee (Tom) Ellis of Arkansas, Lucia Vance of Bessemer and great niece Kathryn Stallworth of Silver Hill, AL. His graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
