2024, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Turner was a long-time resident of Midfield, Alabama. Evelyn graduated UAB School of Nursing, and served thousands of families during the course of her career before she retired as a RN from UAB Hospital. She attended, and was a life long member of Bethal Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Norman S. Smith and Leetha Harris
Smith; daughter, Carloyn Elizabeth Turner; sisters, Louise Smith Bailey and
Frances Smith Williams; brother, Norman S. (Buddy) Smith, Jr.; and brotherin-law, Hubert C. Bailey.
She is survived by extended family and friends.
A graveside for Evelyn will be held at Eastaboga Baptist Cemetery located at 107 Church Ln, Eastaboga, AL 36260 on Sunday, 7/28/2024 at 2:00PM.
