Eugene Mason, 89, of Birmingham, passed away July 30, 2017. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Mr. Mason was the son of the late Gus Mason and Eva Mason. He was preceded in death by his son, Ron Mason, granddaughter Amber Mason, brothers James Mason and Robert Mason and son in law David Waligora. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Mason, daughters Betty Mason and Sandra (Rick) Phillips, granddaughters Candace (Levi) Jones, Amanda Waligora, Jennifer Reismann and Shannon Lindsey and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2 at 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Avenue SW with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. 1
