Elizabeth A. “Angie” Martin Williams passed away at the age of 71. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Angie was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She worked her entire career at the phone company beginning in 1966 with South Central Bell and retiring in in 2002 with BellSouth. She was preceded in death by her parents: James Paul Martin, Sr. and Effie Jane Ingram Martin and brother, James Paul Martin, Jr. Survivors include her children: Donald Richard Williams, Jr. (Shannon) and Darrick Paul Williams (Amiee); grandchildren: Zachary, Ashley, Molly and Audrey; sister-in-law, Shirley Martin; nephews, cousins and friends. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Alabama Chapter, Birmingham Office, 2151 Highland Ave #210, Birmingham AL 35205.
