Eleanor S Robbins

Eleanor, age 93, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015. She was a 1940 graduate of Ramsay High School and retired after 35 years of service with South Central Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine siblings, her son Richard Robbins, and grandson Jay Cook. Eleanor is survived by her son Gerald Rawlings (Jackie) of Newark, Ohio; grandson, Gerald Rawlings, Jr. (Traci) serving in the Army at Fort Lee Virginia; grandson, Christopher Rawlings (Chetta), great grandson, Lucas of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Cora R. Henson (Ben) of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter Becky Cook (John); granddaughter, Robin Cook; granddaughter, Susan Carroll; great grandson Bastian; grandson Rick Cook all of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews. She also is survived by selected daughters; Toni Nordan, Susan Stringer, Lisa Bridges, and Judy Galletly. Honorary pallbearers; Margaret Parker, Ginny Machen, Karen Davis, Gail Misseldine, and The John Foster Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Eleanor to North Shelby Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel on Monday, October 26th, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
