Eleanor Jane Fulton Cochran, age 88, of Hoover, AL passed away on January 11, 2017. Eleanor grew up in Central Park, AL, surrounded by 7 brothers and sisters, including Jackie Hogan, who survives her. Her parents were Mary Ella Naish Fulton and William Leonard Fulton. She was also survived by a host of beloved nieces and nephews. She graduated from West End High School. Eleanor was an employee of South Central Bell for 25 years and was an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church for 55 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leldon Cochran, and her three children, Guy Cochran (Janice), Mark Cochran (Patti), and Ellen Cochran Trimm (Phillip). She has 7 grandchildren; Guy Cochran, Jr. (Joy), Jennifer Cochran Welch (Courtney), Mark Cochran, Jr. (Ellyn), Kelly Cochran, Melissa Trimm Aaron (Jody), Wade Trimm (Melanie), and Lea Trimm Collins (Stephen).She was very proud of her 8 great-grandchildren; Martin, Luke, Jake, Lenore, Mary Ella, Cole, Boone and Beau. A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. and the service will be from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Building Fund. The family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice for their loving care of Eleanor and her family.
