Elbert Dale Welch, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Elbert was born May 3, 1942 in Birmingham, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman L. Welch and Lesliee Whaley Welch; and his sons, Timothy Dale Welch and Douglas Elbert Welch. He is survived by his son, William Keith Welch (Alicia); grandchildren, William Dale Welch and Kaila Kristine Welch; and his brother, Leon Welch (Sarah).
Dale was an avid fisherman and retired from his own business where he was a Striper Guide at Smith Lake. He also loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He also had another love, RC Aviation. He loved building and flying RC Airplanes. He was the president of the Edgewater RC Club for several years. Dale's memory will live on through those who knew and loved him. He lived by his business logo, "Catch A Memory".
