Elaine Williford McNeill

Mrs. McNeill was born on December 18th, 1931 to Ronnie and Eunice Williford. She married Robert B. McNeill, on June 12th, 1953.

Mrs. McNeill loved gardening and spending time with her family reminiscing and telling stories about her favorite memories while enjoying an ice cream sandwich or other sweet treat that always seemed to find its way onto her grocery list. She prided herself on staying independent even in old age.

Mrs. McNeill is survived by her sons, Wayne and Bruce (Lisa) McNeill; grandson Robert (Emily) McNeill II; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ronnie and Eunice Williford; sister Carolyn Ellison; and husband Robert B. McNeill.

A visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave SW in Birmingham, AL, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow immediately at Elmwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
