Edith Arlene Moon Manning, age 93, Birmingham, AL passed away April 23, 2018. Throughout her life, she loved Jesus her Lord and Savior. She was born July 13, 1924, in Akron, Ohio. Edith grew up in East Lake and Tarrant City with her family. At an early age, she was very creative making doll furniture, played the piano and organ in Church, along with her mother Rosalee Moon. She often said she had lived a wonderful life. She enjoyed going to the YMCA and eating out often where she had many friends. She was preceded in passing by her husband of many years Charles Donald Manning, parents Mr. and Mrs. David Riley and Rosalee Arlene (Farrow) Moon, brothers, Lloyd Moon and Leonard Moon. She is survived by three children, David Charles Manning of Houston TX , Donna Arlene Manning and Joan Marie Manning Holley of Birmingham, AL. Four grandchildren, Carrie Holley, Alicia Liddon, Jeremy Holley and Jason Holley. Five Great-Grandchildren, Alex, Sophie, Logan, Summer and Sim and a host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly. Visitation with be at Glen Iris Baptist Church, Birmingham, AL Friday, April 27th 12-1pm with a service immediately following at the church. Burial will follow at the Chalkville Baptist Church Cemetery (New Prospect Cemetery).
