Dorothy Jayne Tuck

Jaynie Tuck, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Christine Elmore. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Larry Tuck; son, Larry "Butch" Tuck; brother, William K. Elmore (Becky); many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Special recognition to the Doctors and nurses at Grandview Medical Center for their compassionate and tender care for Jaynie during her illness. Larry set his eyes on Jaynie when they both were enrolling as students at Howard College in September 1957. He said he chased her until she caught him and eventually were engaged and married. Jaynie had love for the beach and she and Larry were members at Philadelphia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a celebration of life and graveside service with burial following at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church.
