Dorothy O. Overton Pearson

PEARSON, DOROTHY SUE OVERTON, age 92, of Springville, passed away Monday, January 06, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Milton Pearson; sister, Vivian Overton Maddox; and parents, Louella and L. B. Overton. She is survived by her son, Marcus Lowell Pearson (Emma Lee) of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Carol Sue Pearson Waid (Frank) of Springville, AL; grandsons, Barry Wesley Waid (Gloria) of Berwyn, IL, Craig Edward Waid of Springville, AL, Bradley Howell Waid (Chrissy) of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Michael Lowell Pearson (Kellie) Franklin, TN, David Alan Pearson of Huntsville, AL, and Jeffrey Lee Pearson (Kristin) of Huntsville, AL; 12 great-grandchildren, Mike, Aaron, Dacota, Sheldon, Keegan, Evan, Brenna, Daisy and Veronica Waid, Finn, Emma and Greyson Pearson; and niece, Judy Maddox Jackson (James) of Foley, AL. Dorothy Sue was a member of Springville Presbyterian Church where she was active with the Presbyterian Women of the Church. When her children were young, she was active with the scouts and PTA. She and her husband owned and operated Pearson Hardware and Lumber Co. She was an avid traveler, especially out west. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 11-12 at Springville Presbyterian Church with her service beginning at 12. Burial will follow at Springville Cemetery.
