DORIS F. CHILDERS, age 89 of Center Point, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin S. Childers; and son, Richard Childers. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Land and Susan Ray (Tim); grandchildren, Michael Land, John Land (Schinley), Timothy Myers (Jennifer) and Stephanie Shrove (Josh); and six great-grandchildren. Doris was born in Knoxville, TN and lived the majority of her life in Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church Center Point and she enjoyed daily walks around the lake, gardening and shopping. One of her favorite things was to give to others especially those in need. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10-11 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
