Diane Hamm Sciara

Diane Hamm Sciara, age 70, of Pinson, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Diane is preceded in death by her parents; James "Jimmy" Sanders Hamm and Laura Sims Hamm. Diane joined her mom and dad on the same day as her father's birthday, who she loved dearly. We know they celebrated together upon their reunion in heaven.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years; Fred Vincent Sciara, her daughter; Laura Sciara Lewis (Michael), Sara Amanda Sciara (Alex Batten), granddaughter; Cecilia Sciara Bentley (Blaine), grandson; Jack Alexander Batten, and great granddaughter; Hadley Alexandra Bentley.

Diane grew up in the Glen Iris neighborhood in Birmingham and she was a graduate of Ramsay High School, Class of 1970. She had many dear friends from school with lots of fond memories and she was happy to keep up with all of them on social media over the years.

Diane loved to travel, especially on cruises and to New York City! She loved all of her pets over the years, especially Baby, Rosey, Jane, Mocha & Honey. We know that she was happy to be reunited with all of them. She was also an avid lover of nature and wildlife, especially cardinals, squirrels and chipmunks. Every time we see a red bird, we will blow it a kiss and think of you, mom!
