David Delaney Aaron, age 75, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey and Mildred Aaron; his son, Patrick D. Aaron; and a brother, Charles L. Aaron. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Anita Hestley Aaron; his daughter, Montelle “Montie” Norsworthy (Keith); his sister, Pat Goodwin; his brother, Randy Aaron (Edwina); beloved nieces and nephews; and his canine buddy, Bentley.
David was born on November 26, 1945 in Sispey, Alabama. He graduated from Thompson High School in 1964; served in the Army Reserves for 6 years as a paratrooper and retired from a 32 year career at Bell South Telecommunications in 2002.
David loved his church and faithfully worshipped and served his Lord at First Baptist Church Trussville for 30 years. He especially loved singing in the choir and serving on the Men on Mission team.
All who knew David knew he was an avid golfer, and Alabama football fan, and loved spending time creating an award-winning landscaped yard.
A Celebration of Life Service for David will be held at First Baptist Church Trussville on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm; the service begins at 1:00 pm and will be live streamed at FBCTrussville.org.
Immediately following the church service a graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. I lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Trussville Men on Mission, 128 North Chalkville Road, Trussville, AL 35173. Flowers may be sent to Ridout’s Trussville Chapel.
