Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Gibbs

Cindy was the loving daughter of the late Wilburn Shelden Gibbs and Carolyn Jackson Gibbs. She is survived by her sister, Julie Owen (Mike) and her brother, Greg Gibbs (Cheri), many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her dogs, Stella, Winston, and Louie.

Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Vestavia Hills High School and an Arlington Belle. She received her B.S. education from Auburn University, where she was an EN Little Sister. She was a member of both Shades Mountain Baptist Church and Shades Mountain Bible Church. Cindy as a dedicated employee at Birmingham Podiatry for over two decades.

It was the little things in life that Cindy enjoyed the most. From sweet smelling perfume to music concerts. She was a wonderful cook and loved trying new complicated recipes. She was a creative person that paid very careful attention to the details. Always patient, kind, and extremely willing to help others in time of need. She was a wonderful listener, a wonderful family member, and above all, a precious friend.

She will be greatly missed and always held close in heart to all of us who were so lucky to share life with her.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave. SW, Birmingham, Alabama 35211.
