Cynthia Jean Coy

Cynthia Mason Coy, 74, of Sterrett, AL, passed away on February 22, 2025, at Grandview Medical Center. She was born on July 23rd, 1950, in Blue Island, Illinois, and throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a cherished friend to many.

Cindi is survived by her sister, Tana Sammons, her loving children, Jon Coy (Traci), Tanya Richards (Donald), as well as her adored grandchildren, Emilee Perkins (Christian), Sydnee, Lilee, and Steven. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Avani. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Wall-E, who brought her immense joy and companionship.

She was preceded in Death by her beloved husband Curtis Coy; her parents Ruth Courten (Robert) and Richard Mason; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Sammons.

Cindi worked throughout her life, but her pride and joy was her work as the owner of Center Point Cycle. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family. Her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

A private family and close friend’s memorial will be held at a later date.
