Cindy Rowell

After a grueling battle with cancer, Cindy Alaine Reed Rowell of Hayden, Alabama left to be with our Lord on July 7, 2016 and now has her blond hair back and is walking the paths of gold. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, David Rowell; son Austin Rowell; daughter Montana Rowell; mother Jo Ann Reed ; sister Shannon Philips (Doug); brother Cody Reed (Amanda); grandmother LaVera Reed; aunts Sherry Reed and Linda Haggerty (Bill); uncle Rob Howerton (Jennifer) as well as cousins and nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister, April Reed; father Paul Alan Reed; grandmother Lola Howerton and grandfathers Paul Reed and Morgan Howerton.

Cindy was born November 30, 1973 in Birmingham, Alabama, growing up in the Center Point and Clay, Alabama communities. She is a 1992 graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School and attended Jefferson State Community College.

Cindy was a member of Gardendale’s Central Baptist Church where she participated in the Vacation Bible School programs and Gardendale’s First Baptist Church.

During her working career she was employed by K-Mart Department Stores, Cracker Barrel Country Stores, Peebles Department Stores, Norwood Clinic, Sloss Federal Credit Union, University of Alabama Birmingham, and Regions Bank. As she completes her voyage down the “River of Life” Cindy leaves many friends and loved ones in her wake.
